The hallucinatory odyssey of an adventurer king inspires a creative cinematic hybrid featuring a journey where memory meets madness. In 1860, Antoine de Tounens, a French lawyer, declared himself King of Araucania and Patagonia. Captured by the army two years later, he was sentenced to internment but never stopped dreaming of his lost kingdom. Niles Attalah recounts a little-known episode in the history of Chile using a mix of archival images, puppets, scratched film and various media.IN PRESENCE OF EDITOR BENJAMIN MIRGUETIN COMPETITION
